Baby products should not contain toxic ingredients, according to common sense as well as 40 + organizations lead by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) co-founded Campaign for Safe Cosmetics.
Just last week, the Campaign sent a letter to Johnson and Johnson asking that its products made for children don't contain hidden carcinogenic contaminants 1,4-dioxane and formaldehyde.

Perhaps all pregnant women will agree with me when I say that one of the most awaited pregnancy moments is when you get to listen to your baby’s heartbeat for the first time; or better yet, when you get your first glimpse of him while he is still in your tummy.
Our experience was no different. We rushed to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City as soon as our obstetrician advised us that we could have pictures of our baby taken through 3D ultrasound. Unfortunately, Daniel was not too cooperat… Continue

Weed ’em out: how to control weeds before they control you
iStockphoto.com/YinYang
If you feel like you’re waging the war of the weeds every year, you’re not alone.
While not all weeds are a nuisance or unsightly—some gardeners gleefully dine on dandelion greens (Taraxacum officinale)—a few invasive species, such as Garlic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata), require special attention. When it comes to organic weed removal, the key is to think prevention, not eradication, and not to expect speedy resu… Continue

Reading is fundamental. We all know that the ability to read is a major factor in our children's lives. Something they learn very early on and develop hopefully the rest of their lives. Reading plays a big part in the development of communication skills. Every career and every family depend on communication to survive. My daughter's class must read 20 minutes every night. They can read whatever they want but they have to read for that time everyday. I am permitted to read to her and sometimes i… Continue

Since olden times, mint has been enjoyed for its wonderful aroma, its healing power and its nice taste. Mint has also been said to help with asthma and other allergies. You can buy fresh mint leaves in the supermarket and you can add to teas and coffees or prepare tasty mint drinks .
Though the directions might seem longer than your usual cocktail recipe, don’t be put off: it’s actually a lot simpler than it looks.

To all Mothers who share this special Bond that comes with tears and joys, no matter how much time passes from the birth of our child to our child reaches an adult.
I have had the blessings for being visited by my three daughters and their two children and just marvel and smile as they progress through life.
We give our children the knowledge of wisdom we share their triumphs and ta da moments but their to lend an ear when times are tough.
We give our children our passions and dreams and let th… Continue
Wondering what to do with the packaging that your wiimote and nunchuck controller came in? Why not fill them with chocolate! We did.
They're both stuffed with sponge fingers to fill them out a little, otherwise we'd have used a lot more chocolate. Not a bad thing in itself, but we didn't have that much chocolate.
Wanna leave a comment for this inventive… Continue

Over the last month I have spent hours each and every day visiting with my father in law, he is such a man of courage and wit and charm.
He has been a survivor of bone and prostate cancer for the last two years.
He had a fall on March 26th which led to a hospital stay that ended that he died peacefully in hospital, he passed on quietly in bed.
His gift to me was exact and detailed instructions on bank accounts , his lawyer and credit card accounts and number.
He left me details on whom to call a… Continue
I just realized that while children are dogs - loyal and affectionate - teenagers are cats. It's so easy to be a dog owner. You feed it, train it, boss it around. It puts it's head on your knee and gazes at you as if you were a Rembrandt painting. It bounds indoors with enthusiasm when you call it.
Then around age 13, your adoring little puppy turns into a big old cat. When you tell it to come inside, it looks amazed, as if wondering who died and made you emperor. Instead of dogging your doorst… Continue

What do you do personally or with your business to help and share with other people?
